Location

The island of Nisyros is located in the south-eastern Aegean, northwest of Rhodes, between Kos, Tilos and Astypalaia. It belongs to the island complex of the Dodecanese and has an area of approximately 42 square kilometers. The capital of the island is Mandraki. Other villages of Nisyros are Emporios, Paloi and Nikia.

Our olive mill, Liotridi of Karis, is located in Mandraki, in the traditional settlement of Lagadi. Lagadi is a picturesque neighborhood in the center of Mandraki, from where the cobbled path to Paleokastro begins. Going up towards Lagadi you meet traditional houses with colorful balconies and whitewashed stairs, after the white church of Katholiki (Agia Aikaterini), you meet the 'Liotridi of Karis'.
